Faith And Understanding


In this life of constant sorrow
will I see a new tomorrow
Lighten this heart of ache and pain
within his sight, I still remain


What is this test that takes me down
where joy is lost, no  happiness found
Is it my faith and understanding
Of a test so demanding

Perhaps it is to make me stronger
But can I bear it any longer 
And as time passes, I do pray
To help me through this everyday
